The Electric Palace cinema, Harwich, is one of the oldest purpose-built cinemas to survive complete still relatively intact after being saved from demolition and fully restored in the 1970s.
Today it shows films, music, events and even weddings and is a much loved building in Harwich.
The old website had been patched up over the years and it really needed a rethink and some new design ideas, so after an initial meeting with The Electric Palace Trust we created an outline plan, test area and user journey for The Trustees to see and feedback on.
We created a new website to reflect the history, events and all of the films shown at the cinema.
A WordPress website with event and cinema booking, film display areas, mail alerts, history information, gallery and wedding hire information.
A new logo was created based on the original 1911 typeface on the front of the building.
Sponsorship and Patrons also had dedicated pages with better links and logos.
After completion we included training for the staff and volunteers in Harwich.
